The Ozarks Drug Enforcement Team (ODET) served search warrants Wednesday on residences in Lamar and Carthage, seizing a total of 174 grams of methamphetamine and arresting three suspects on drug charges.
The Jasper County Sheriff’s Department’s Special Weapons and Tactics team and Lamar police assisted in serving the search warrant at 1705 Cherry St. in Lamar. ODET investigators seized 159 grams of meth and two firearms at the address, according to a news release from the drug enforcement team.
Audra Joyce, 47, was taken into custody and later charged with first-degree trafficking in drugs, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of a weapon, according to the Barton County prosecutor’s office. A male suspect at the residence was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
The Jasper County SWAT team and Carthage police assisted the drug enforcement team in serving a warrant the same day at 313 Orchard St. in Carthage, where about 15 grams of meth were seized and two people were arrested. Timothy Campbell, 39, and Lindsey N. Lee, 44, were charged with felony possession of a controlled substance.
