LAMAR, Mo. — The Ozarks Drug Enforcement Team seized small amounts of methamphetamine and marijuana as well as a shotgun while arresting three people on warrants Monday at an address in Lamar.
Investigators with the drug task force went to 407 S.E. 53rd Lane with warrants for the arrests of Ary Cliett, 34, and Chanstin Besendorfer, 27. While taking Cliett and Besendorfer into custody, they also arrested Paul Kennon, 44, on a Vernon County warrant for nonsupport of a child.
Chad Allison, commander of ODET, said in a news release that investigators seized 10 grams of meth, 10 grams of marijuana and a shotgun at the residence with the assistance of Lamar police and the Barton County Sheriff’s Department.
The news release said Cliett is facing counts of delivery of a controlled substance, resisting arrest and unlawful use of a weapon and was being held on a $10,000 bond related to an investigation that began in June 2017. Besendorfer was arrested on a warrant for delivery of a controlled substance and was being held on a bond of $5,000.
Allison indicated in the news release that additional arrest warrants by Barton County Prosecutor Mike Smalley are anticipated in ongoing ODET investigations.
